These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Rubbish Removal Hammersmith provides rubbish removal, waste collection and related services. By booking a service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following words have the meanings set out below:

Customer means the person, business or organisation requesting rubbish removal or waste collection services from Rubbish Removal Hammersmith.

Services means any rubbish removal, waste clearance, collection, loading, transportation, recycling or disposal services provided by Rubbish Removal Hammersmith.

Waste means any items, materials or substances that the Customer asks us to collect and lawfully dispose of as part of the Services.

Booking means a confirmed request by the Customer for Services on a specific date and time, whether made by phone, email, online form or any other agreed method.

2. Scope of Services

Rubbish Removal Hammersmith provides rubbish removal and waste collection services for domestic, commercial and other premises within our operational service area. Services may include household waste clearance, bulky item removal, garden waste collection, office, shop or light construction waste removal and other similar services agreed with the Customer.

All Services are subject to vehicle access, safe working conditions and compliance with applicable waste and environmental regulations. We reserve the right to refuse collection of any items that are unsafe, unlawful to transport or outside the agreed scope of the Booking.

3. Booking Process

Customers can request a quotation and make a Booking by contacting Rubbish Removal Hammersmith. At the time of requesting a Booking, the Customer should provide accurate details of the type and approximate quantity of Waste, the location, access conditions and any specific requirements.

We may provide an estimate based on the Customer’s description of the Waste. This estimate may be subject to change if, upon arrival, the actual volume, weight, type or handling requirements differ from those originally described.

A Booking is only confirmed when we have accepted the Customer’s request for Services, provided a date and time window, and the Customer has accepted our pricing and these Terms and Conditions. We may, at our discretion, request a deposit or pre-authorisation before confirming a Booking.

The Customer must ensure that a person aged 18 or over is present at the property at the time of collection to grant access, confirm the Waste to be removed and authorise any adjustments to the Service or price where necessary.

4. Pricing and Estimates

Prices for our rubbish removal and waste collection services are generally based on factors such as the volume of Waste, weight, access conditions, loading time, labour involved, type of materials and disposal or recycling costs. We will explain the basis of our pricing when you obtain a quotation.

Any price given before our arrival is an estimate only, based on the information supplied by the Customer. We reserve the right to adjust the final price on the day of collection if the description of the Waste or circumstances differ from those originally given. This includes, but is not limited to, larger quantities, heavier items, restricted access, additional labour, or the presence of items that are more costly to dispose of.

Where there is a change in price from the original estimate, we will inform the Customer and seek explicit approval before commencing work. If the Customer does not accept the revised price, we may cancel the Booking without liability, except that a reasonable call-out or cancellation fee may apply where our team has already attended the site.

5. Payments and Invoicing

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment for the Services is due in full on completion of the waste collection, prior to our team leaving the site. We accept commonly used payment methods as notified at the time of Booking, which may include cash, card payment, bank transfer or other secure methods.

Where payment is made by card or electronic means, the Customer authorises Rubbish Removal Hammersmith to take payment for the agreed amount, including any agreed adjustments to the original estimate. For business Customers who have been granted account terms, invoices are payable within the payment period stated on the invoice.

If payment is not made when due, we reserve the right to charge interest on overdue sums at the statutory rate and to recover all reasonable costs of debt recovery. Title to any goods or materials removed does not pass to the Customer at any stage; all Waste becomes the property of Rubbish Removal Hammersmith upon lawful collection for the sole purpose of disposal or recycling.

6. Cancellations and Amendments

The Customer may cancel or amend a Booking by contacting us as soon as reasonably possible. For standard residential bookings, cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled arrival time will generally not incur a charge. Cancellations made within 24 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover our administrative and scheduling costs.

Where our team attends the property at the agreed time and is unable to complete the Service due to circumstances within the Customer’s control, including lack of access, absence of an authorised person, or the Customer’s refusal of the Service or revised price, we may charge a call-out or wasted journey fee.

We will use reasonable efforts to arrive within the agreed time window. However, arrival times are estimates and may be affected by traffic, weather, operational issues or other factors beyond our reasonable control. If we need to reschedule a Booking, we will notify the Customer as soon as practicable and arrange an alternative time. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience arising from rescheduling or delays, except as set out in these Terms and Conditions.

7. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer is responsible for:

Ensuring safe, reasonable and lawful access to the property and the Waste to be collected, including any parking permissions or site entry arrangements.

Providing an accurate description of the Waste, including any items that may be hazardous, heavy, difficult to move or require special handling.

Securing any necessary permissions from the property owner, managing agent, local authority or any other relevant party for the removal of the Waste.

Ensuring that the area where our team will be working is safe, free from unnecessary obstruction and does not pose health or safety risks.

The Customer must not request us to remove any items that they do not have the legal right to dispose of. By presenting items for removal, the Customer warrants that they are the lawful owner or have full authority to give them to us for disposal.

8. Items We Cannot Collect

There are certain types of Waste that we are unable to collect as part of our standard rubbish removal and waste collection services. These may include, but are not limited to, explosives, gas cylinders, certain chemicals, clinical or medical waste, asbestos, radioactive materials and other substances classified as hazardous under applicable regulations.

If we encounter such items during the course of the Service, we will inform the Customer and may either refuse to remove them or, if feasible, agree a separate arrangement subject to additional charges and compliance with appropriate safety rules.

We also reserve the right to refuse any items that, in the reasonable judgement of our team, present a risk to health, safety, property or the environment, or would cause us to be in breach of any law, regulation or permit.

9. Waste Handling and Regulations

Rubbish Removal Hammersmith operates in accordance with applicable waste management and environmental regulations in the United Kingdom. We will transport and dispose of Waste using licensed facilities or approved partners wherever required and appropriate.

Once Waste has been collected from the Customer, we may sort, recycle, reuse or dispose of it in compliance with legal requirements and good environmental practice. The Customer acknowledges that all decisions regarding the subsequent treatment, recycling and disposal routes for the Waste are at our discretion, provided that we act lawfully.

We may issue a waste transfer note or other relevant documentation where required by law or where reasonably requested by business Customers. The Customer must provide accurate details for any documentation, and we may charge a reasonable administration fee for additional paperwork or reporting.

10. Liability and Limitations

We will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing our rubbish removal and waste collection services. However, our liability to the Customer is limited as follows.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential or economic loss, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity or loss of data. Our total liability for direct loss or damage arising from any single event or series of connected events shall not exceed the total amount paid or payable by the Customer for the specific Service giving rise to the claim.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage to property, fixtures, fittings, driveways, paving, walls or other surfaces. The Customer is responsible for pointing out any particularly fragile or high-risk areas before work commences. Reasonable care will be taken by our team, but minor scuffs, marks or wear may occur where heavy items are moved, especially in confined spaces or where access is limited.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Insurance

Rubbish Removal Hammersmith maintains public liability insurance and, where applicable, employer’s liability insurance at levels appropriate for the nature of our rubbish removal and waste collection services. Evidence of insurance can be provided on reasonable request.

12. Complaints and Disputes

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our Services, you should contact us as soon as possible, providing full details of your concerns. We will investigate the matter and aim to respond within a reasonable time. In many cases, issues can be resolved informally by clarifying what was agreed at the time of Booking and what was carried out on site.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may consider taking further steps, such as using a recognised alternative dispute resolution service or pursuing legal remedies in accordance with the governing law and jurisdiction set out below.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms and Conditions where such failure or delay results from any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control. This may include, without limitation, severe weather, road closures, accidents, strikes, acts of government, breakdown of equipment or other unforeseen incidents.

Where a force majeure event occurs, we will notify the Customer as soon as reasonably practicable and, where possible, arrange a revised time or date for the Services.

14. Data Protection and Privacy

In the course of providing our rubbish removal and waste collection services, we may collect and process personal information about Customers, such as names, contact details, service addresses and payment details. We handle such information in accordance with applicable data protection laws and use it only for the purposes of administering bookings, providing Services, receiving payment, handling queries and meeting legal obligations.

We may retain records of Bookings, invoices and waste transfer documentation for as long as is reasonably necessary for business, accounting or legal purposes.

15. Variation of Terms

Rubbish Removal Hammersmith reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will apply to new Bookings made after the updated Terms and Conditions have been made available. The version in force at the time of your Booking will apply to that Service.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable by a court or competent authority, that provision shall be removed or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the provision of our rubbish removal and waste collection services.
